Melanie Safka "Lullabies From Heaven"
A beautifully family-made album from Cleopatra Records started prior to Melanie's passing on January 23, 2024. Produced by Melanie's son Beau with performances from all of Melanie's children [Beau, Leilah and Jeordie], along with appearances from Melanie's grandchildren. She always wanted to make a children’s album, but sadly was not able to see this completed.
I was fortunate to be asked by Beau to add some playing and production to this immortal legend's new album. I added Cretan lyra, piano, glockenspiel, percussion, mellotron and strings to the track below. I hope that you enjoy the album as much as we do.
